I always loved V & M as a follow-up to BOTR. I guess because seeing one of the 76' concerts just tied it altogether for me. I will definitely buy the remaster when it arrives. I just hope there's some bonus material.

These are the dates for the next reissues, Venus and Mars and Wings at the speed of sound will both be out on June 17th, it will be 2 CD's and a DVD for each album.

I hope this is accurate.

No official word from anywhere yet, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if this turns out to be accurate.

2CDs and 1 DVD, now, would that be a regular edition or do we get the deluxe book treatment with that, that's the question!

Worth pointing out that the source of the rumour is also suggesting that Let It Be is coming soon on DVD/Blu Ray, am not sure that helps the credibility of the announcement!!

Unless they find a "lost album" of great, unreleased material from those two albums, the only reason I would buy V&M would be to hear a more pristine remaster and possible remixing. That album (as I've stated before) has the thinnest, tinniest sound of any rock album I've ever heard from that era. It's as if he had the guitar volume levels at 2, and filtered the mix thru layers and layers of thick gauze.

ATSOS, I think I'll pass on.

Yeah, they really need to remix V&M, it's possibly the worst mixed album ever. When the guitars 'kick in' in Rockshow, it's like a balloon deflating :-D

It's almost as if the producer was in a pot-addled haze....

James1985, you're not suggesting the producer was, uhh...toking during recording and mixing...are you?

Totally agree. Horrid mix. Horrid sound. Perhaps that's another reason I don't like the album. Maybe a better quality recording would make me re-think some of the material. I DO like the WINGS OVER AMERICA versions of every song he did on this album (with the exception of "Listen To What The Man Said") better than the V&M originals.
