Does it include every single sesión? I mean, even for albums like Liverpool oratorio, Ruppert the bear, Standing Stone, Ecce cor meum, Liverpool sound collage, Fireman albums and Ocean's kingdom?
We can make it to Mexico City...AGAIN!!!!!

As it's a song-by-song, ALL pop compositions are detailed in the book (recording date and studios, composer, release date, story of the song, interviews - both exclusive and from archives - musicians involved), including all the three FIREMAN albums. Classical works are also in the book, and in particular LIVERPOOL ORATORIO is revisited through a really interesting interview with Carl Davis. Info on OCEAN'S KINGDOM, ECCE COR MEUM and STANDING STONE are included, even if without detailing every single track. Another really informative interview about the classical side of Paul is with guitarist Carlos Bonell, who speaks about the future release of the concert composed by Paul for classical guitar and orchestra. A lot of unreleased stuff is mentioned or treated in detail (i.e. RUPERT THE BEAR or COLD CUTS).

:) I'm sure you won't be disappointed! The book has been built in the simplest way, as a flow of events, and certainly helps to discover the process of Paul's songs, from their birth or inspiration to the recording, and researching also for similarities with old song from others artists that could have been the source for them. A lot of new information available for the first time.

Another interesting thing you could find in the book is the different basses used by Paul during the various sessions. While it was impossible to indicate precisely for each track which one he used, I did a bit of research (photos, interviews, archive material) to track at least if he used Rickenbacker, Hofner, Yamaha. Fender Jazz, etc. during the various groups of sessions :)

A couple of nice anecdotes taken from the book to share with you :)
On MULL OF KINTYRE Paul recorded the basic track (acoustic guitar and vocal) outdoor. Engineer Tim Summerhayes recalled that, as they missed an anti-pop and noise filter to be applied on the microphone, they used a sock by John Hammel, Paul' personal assistant, on it! A well-known photo proves it. John Hammel's sock has a design with the UNION JACK on it.
On BABY'S REQUEST - recorded in Abbey Road Studio Two - Paul played double-bass, while Laine was on piano. Both Holly and Juber has been interviewed in the book and they recalled vividly the session. In particular, Holly revealed that he played brushes on a timbale instead of snare drum, so to obtain a special sound.
