My top six Macca albums (no live or greatest)
1.RAM
2. MCCARTNEY II
3. MCCARTNEY
4.BOTR
5. PTP
6.BACK TO THE EGG

probably....
So I stood with a knot in my stomach,
And I gazed at that terrible sight
Of two youngsters concealed in a barrel,
Sucking monkberry moon delight.

If I made the ranking right now New is nr 1 . If I cool down a bit My favorites are( without ranking) Ram, McCartney, BOTR and Chaos. The new album is certanely up there among them But since they are all perfect why make à choice. Contenders are Tug of war, McCartney 2 and Flaming Pie . Guess livealbums don t count otherwise WOA is there as well.

Mr. H, it would seem that Garry is a man after your own heart considering his top six.

I have now managed to hear 8 album tracks, and two live versions of the album tracks, so, in essence, I've heard 10 of the 15 songs (deluxe edition)...not to mention the samples of everything but "Scared."

All I can say right now is, I am looking forward to getting my CD in the mail on Tuesday. If I get access to more tracks before then, I will certainly listen to (and download) them, but it will still be great to get the whole CD, and listen to it in its entirety, from track one thru track last.

If anyone thought KISSES ON THE BOTTOM was the new direction Paul was taking, they are in for quite a shock. Aside from those songs being covers, the entire sound and direction is completely different. Right now, I'd say it's ELECTRIC ARGUMENTS meets MEMORY ALMOST FULL, with a touch of TUG OF WAR, a dash of MCCARTNEY II, and a pinch of PRESS TO PLAY. And even certain elements of DRIVING RAIN.

I don't dislike ANY of the ten songs I've heard. Some sound better than others, but all sound good, and all sound interesting.

But, it's early in the game here...so, don't want to get too specific. Other than to say "Queenie Eye" is already one of my favorite Paul solo songs (because I have played this sucker about 50 times in the last few days).
in years to come/they may discover/what the air we breathe and the life we lead are all about/but it won't be soon enough for me

On second listen. Some sections of music and or lyrics I may be unhappy with, but overall New appears to be a very good record. It's at least in the Good section of my ratings at the moment just shy of Ram/Chaos territory.

i'm going purely on what others have said...but it is said that the album sounds (production wise) awesome. much more EA than MAF.

and jeesh are there some disadvantages to having to wait for cdjapan to deliver it. that extra song had better be worth it.
I want to tell her that I love her a lot, but I got to get a belly full of wine.
