here's my take...I've always been the guy to buy a cd, most likely a deluxe version...so I can get the extra song or three. but there always seemed to be a song or two that die hards would get and chat about. where did these songs come from? I would wonder...for about thirty seconds...and just move on.
this is the first time i'm buying a cd from overseas for the sole purpose of getting the whole shebang. it isn't that much extra. and I win by getting a song or two extra. but it's a choice I'm making. and it'll certainly be one that i'll have to live with if another song surfaces.
I get buying locally. I support it. and I practice it. but at what cost? mr h...your own moniker here is named after a song I not only don't own...I heard it for the very first time probably within the last five years. and even then...only because someone here most likely posted (still) videos from youtube so we can enjoy it.
point is...we have an opportunity to get, maybe, the whole thing (or at least 16 of the 20 songs he recorded) that is a big deal considering the album proper is only 12 songs. I have never been aware of this opportunity before. it may have always been there...but I didn't know about it. but now I do. and our little macca family here...I think we owe it to each other to at least make others aware of what else may be out there...other than your local walmart/target/best buy.
I think it is completely possible that this may be paul's last rock album. each one of us must weigh our financial opportunities. should I get this...or that? i'm doing this whole hog. I have, in fact. that lone bellows album, or that Robert Randolph album will always be there for you to pick up...maybe even in the reduced stack one day. but those missing tracks available on import only...on cd (some, like me, like to actually have something to hold)...may not. choose well, pei mei.
I want to tell her that I love her a lot, but I got to get a belly full of wine.
