Ringo has had some fairly decent moments in his solo career. Starting with RINGO in 1973 (probably his high water mark), but also including TIME TAKES TIME, and VERTICAL MAN. A few songs here and there since, as well. And, in between RINGO and TTT there were certainly songs on albums that weren't bad (including many from GOODNIGHT VIENNA).
And his Christmas album is fantastic! Of all the Beatles, only Ringo could get away with that, and he does...brilliantly! Yes, Paul has had "Wonderful Xmastime," and I really like his "The Christmas Song" done during the sessions with Diana Krall for KOTB, but I would cringe if he put out a similar-type album. But, that's just me.
