The remaster really kicks some butt on the second half of disc two – the rockers.

It's amazing how he sounds exactly same singing the "if we ever get out of here" bit of BOTR in 1976 as he does now

Also, never realised until I saw the movie the other week, but he sings the second "Soily" in every chorus of Soily differently in the film and on the album. When I saw the the film, I thought I'd been going mad and had heard it wrong all these years...

In Rockshow it's more of a Soil-EE, with the emphasis on the EEEEEE

Iv been playin around a little bit with the deluxe mammoth box. Must say it s one fat son of a b-h. The books and extras are nothing but stunning. Yes it s very expensive but this is one total experience. Great picturer(even some real original prints), great memorabilia like a full tourprogramme and one heck of interesting 100pages book with interviews essays and stuff. Just like with Ram and Mccartney 2 this deluxe edition gives a total experience and also a lot of insight in te recording. My on and only complaint is that they didn t include rock show in the package. After this investment i just don t feel right to buy that one separately
I am not a soundexpert but sound wise I think there s a lot more punch in this remaster.
Im happy now

I can see your point, of course, but I have to disagree nontheless. It would have been a great disappointment if they had added the Rockshow DVD, because a lot of people are interested in the BD. If they had added the BD those who don't have the equipment would complain. For me the actual solution seems to be appropriate.

Observations after watching Rockshow Blu-ray:

1. Every show needs a horn/brass section.
2. Silly Love Songs should be added to the set.
3. Letting Go is a candidate too.
4. I missed Mrs. Vanderbilt and Nineteen Hundred and Eighty-five.
5. I enjoyed that the other band members were highlighted at various times.
5. Loved the show!!

The rematered CDs sound better than the Rockshow Blu-ray.

The picture quality is much improved, but the actual music sounds better on the CDs.

lots of bad...nay...terrible reviews regarding the audio of this blu ray disc. especially the bass and drums...so the reviewers say. this makes me upset considering I just purchased the thing. i'll get back on my review. but i'm half expecting to return it if half t reviews are accurate.
I want to tell her that I love her a lot, but I got to get a belly full of wine.

Return it because of what someone else says, yeah it's not perfect, but it's still the essential memento of this fantastic tour!!

I will enjoy it regardless!!
