for what it's worth...i don't think the new one shares all that much with nod your head...other than a bit of screaming. i think of that one as sort of a throwaway. it does bare some more resemblence to nothing too much (as james pointed out) but even then...just vocally. i think the new one has much more substance, musically, than those mentioned.

but the real good news (for some of us) is that we are capable of getting a decent rockin' screamer from him when most of us may have thought it was no longer possible.

I want to tell her that I love her a lot, but I got to get a belly full of wine.

Chris,

I didn't. I knew he had it in him. He has just been playing it safe all these concerts as of late. The voice was a little shaky a few times during some recent concerts but he DID sound good on 12-12-12!

I knew he still had it in him to do a good rocker . . . BUT . . . I still feel acoustic versions of some rockers would be nice too. JUST SAYING.

i third that...

no matter how much we may wish otherwise...we know that the end of the end gets closer-closer...

he might as well, to the best of his abilities, let it all hang out, album wise, while he can

go for it paul...your rick rubin years are so far ahead of you that they're...still in front of you...

dang, i screwed that one up

I get the end of the end and all that. I'll reserve judgement on his current voice until after the new CD comes out. I just wish he'd rest the voice more so when he does record we get his finest. Just my opinion.

For me personally,i think its an ok song but the best thing about it is that the rock radio station is playing this new music from Paul macca here in Montreal. This hasn't happen in a long time and i think its great!
