Paul sounded incredible. He plays with more energy when playing with Grohl. Normally when he plays with his band, he wants to impress the audience. During cut me some slack, it was like he wanted to impress the band and as a result, he pushed himself much farther. He blew my mind.

Paul looked great on SNL. My Valentine was nice. But song with Dave Grohl was rubbish. I'd rather hear Nod Your Head. At least it has a melody. He was funny as the straight man in the skit with Martin Short. But his singing on Wonderful Christmas Time I thought was poor. Kids choir made up for it. Overall grade: B

When he sang that last song - I thought for sure it would be The Christmas Song (chestnuts roasting...) since he just released that.

Or... really was hoping he'd play Pipes of Peace w/that children's choir - then maybe hit Wonderful Xmas for the closing credits playout.
