Macca with Nirvana- sooo great

Just curious, Awesoman...what do you think Paul should have played?

I suppose I've always felt that during a benefit concert, you play music that is thematic towards the cause. And yes, even if that means "playing it safe". If you're the headliner of a big concert like this, and people wait all evening to hear you perform, chances are they want to hear the big stuff, like "Hey Jude" or "Yesterday". It's not a great time to plug your newest music (although the Nirvana reunion could be considered an exception).

if anything...i'd wished he'd kept playing with them...found some songs of common ground and made the whole set as special as that one song; if oodles and gobs of artists can visit pauls songs, like on the up-coming covers album w/garth/kiss/the cure...then paul, dave, krist and pat could certainly find a few more songs to rock the house

we know daves a paul fan...the interview, if watched, sure makes krist happy to be there...can you imagine that band of brothers doing even monkberry moon delight...too many people...3 legs...highway...heck, they probably would've added an edge to 1985 that would stunned most people...

I think he should have trotted SOMETHING out more appropriate to the occasion -

Maybe Pipes of Peace? That would be interesting to hear live.

And as tired as I am of Let It Be - seems like this would be THE time to play that.
