with all the talk about tribute songs in another thread...i'd like to see him do john's happy christmas on snl. it really wouldn't be a tribute...just a christmas song...with a wink. and lets face it...it is the much better christmas song.

Great suggestion or not, it won't happen. McCartney's got a new Christmas tune out, and he's got "Wonderful Christmastime"; it really wouldn't make any sense for him to cover Lennon's Christmas tune.

i think paul and yoko's relationship warmed a bit recently when paul admitted that yoko really did have nothing to do with the band breaking up. it may not even have been genuine. it may have been all for show. which is fine by me. but real or not...i think pretending that no grudges still being held is important. after all...life is very short...
