but, at least one good thing if he did...at least he hasn't bludgeoned that one into the ground two hundred thousand times...yet...

all while nearly completely ignoring a vast, deep and interesting catalogue of greatly underappreciated songs

a rockin' version of 'too many people' or a playful 'monkberry moon delight' or a smokin' 'on the way' would be hundreds times better (hey ! capitalist-paul !! sell your 'newest' albums...the remasters...like every other artist wot goes on that show !!) ...never happen, tho...ever...

is it at all possible that in negotiating to get someone like Paul on the show negotiates one or more of the songs the artist will need to play? Maybe it always is SNL that asks for BOTR or Jet or whatever?

yep...probably.......

'cause...that's exactly what lorne micheals does: forces big time celebrities to regularly redo the same stuff they've already been redoing for the last.........twenty to thirty years....that way...everything on that show is stale and old

and the contract also forces him to sing them in every freakin' concert he does for the rest fo his life, too...

they probably got lil' bea hidden at some far off villa...forcing her to watch matt lauer redo his same schtik until paul acquiesses...now that would be torture !

HAHHAAHA!! Yes Paul, PLEASE sing something different. Weak and wobbly voice aside, I adore you to pieces and have almost engaged in some fist flying in defense of you BUT I am getting tired of seeing the same old songs being sung at every ... single ... freaking ... concert. Although, he did change about 5 the second night in Edmonton. I want to hear something new. Something NOT done before. I know a few other Macca Freaks who would love to hear a change too. PLEASE!! SING THE CHANGES.

Classic Paul that the only remaster he's gone on to shows and promoted is the one he's played a load of songs live from for the last 30 years anyway....

Macca has a new 7" single out in December so presumably he will be promoting that.

still....point being...the musical act usually does 2-3 songs...what will the others be....can he break his mold and offer something....unique

my bet is not...but, for a macca fan, it'd be the best thing all year if it happens: 2-3 never played live songs ?? you betcha !!

i wouldn't even care what 2-3 as long as i pretty much find him playing it live in the last 30 years

either way...hope he has a good time and a great performance
