McCartney says skip the turkey on Thanksgiving

Postby Awesoman » Mon Nov 19, 2012 11:07 pm

Sorry Macca, but I will be eating turkey on Thanksgiving and it will be delicious!

I respect the views of vegetarians but grow weary when they don't respect the dietary preferences of others. McCartney represents the worst kind of vegetarian; he's no better than a religious fanatic at times.

your entitled to your opinion
i eat turkey as well...but i feel theres nothing wrong with someone using there celebrity to promote an issue that concerns them..with in reason of course
i don't find macca in my face about this or see him on bill boards splattered all over the country about it
i believe the trick now a days is to eat certified organic foods..fruit and veggies, supplemented with fish and poultry
but hey thats just me..(:

Being in Canada with an American mom, we have turkey in October for the Canadian Thanksgiving and turkey sandwiches for lunch with leftovers, then we would celebrate the American Thanksgiving and had more turkey sandwiches for lunch. :) Though I do love eating veggy when it's done right, I will not pass on turkey.

I suppose if I had an unlimited budget for elaborate veggy meals, I certainly would eat less meat. But for now and for the distant future, where eating good veggy and more organically grown food is, well, for the rich, I'm stuck eating what is more economical.

The Simpsons this past week has the Paul McCartney reference again. Lisa was almost convinced to eat insects but what battling about the promise she made to Paul McCartney.

well i'm far far from rich..still working on my first million
but we specifically budget for this..i mean what can be more important then what we consume to sustain ourselves?
attempts are made to grow our own food with limited results...getting better all the time tho
anyways Happy Thanksgiving to all (:
