New setlist: What songs should t iinclude??

Postby EddieV » Sun Sep 23, 2012 8:55 am

I have 3 songs I would love to see him play:

- Getting Better
- Too Many People/She came in through the bathroom window
- You Never Give Me You Money, this time the whole song!
Now junior behave yourself

This Loving Game
Somedays
Heaven on A Sunday
No Values
Get Yourself Another Fool
One of These Days
Why So Blue?
Good Times Coming/Feel the Sun
3 Legs
Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey
Eat at Home
Magneto and Titanium Man
Some People Never Know
Take it Away
What You're Doing
Daytime Nightime Suffering
Footprints
Jenny Wren
On the Way
Riding to Vanity Fair
You Won't See Me
I'm Looking Through You
So Beautiful
Flying to My Home
Old Siam, Sir
This Never Happened Before
The World Tonight

Of course, it'll never happen but hey, It's fun to ask "what if..." I think a set like this would be beneficial to his voice as I selected songs that shouldn't require too much vocal straining, not to mention they're great songs that rarely (if ever) have been performed live. However, I should mention that a set like this would probably only appeal to hardcore fans, not casual fans.

but, you know what, EF... i simply no longer care about the 'casual' fan...it's not our fault they are that stupid...let them buy a frikkin' cd of all the repetative stuff, if they can't handle it

bring on the good stuff, paulie...dig deep, and more fully, into your very impressive and hugely under-used catalogue...before it's too late and you no longer can...

look...all this pandering hasn't made his cd sales skyrocket...so, what the heck, play to your real fan base for a while...smaller venues...all paul

great song ideas by all, btw

H.

The Mess, Mull of Kintyre (which he has never sung in the U.S.), Beware My Love, Magneto and Titanium Man, Girlfriend (Although he might find it hard to hit the high notes), Hi, Hi, Hi, P.S. I Love You, Anna, There's a Place, I'll Follow the Sun, A Taste of Honey, Lazy Dynamite, Pretty Little Head, although he didn't write them - Midnight Special and Summertime, Monkberry Moon Delight, Winedark Open Seas, just saw a video last night Figure of Eight, My Brave Face, That Day is Done, Devon on a Sunday, Used to be Bad, Little Willow. Just a few off the top of my head and I was thinking of this last night watching TV too.

Like minds think alike?

gjh: i'm guessin' you're thinkin' that that list might be good if he never wants to sing again...'cause, while they are all very good.... it'd probably, these days, leave his VC's shredded forever

just kidding...all great songs that would, given the right circumstances, absolutely kill ...and CMBA was very cool live...in '76...dontchaknow

g4...hmmm, me, myself and i still cling hopelessly ( very, extremely hopelessly )that he should never, from this moment on, repeat himself until he's gone through a significant portion of his untouched catalogue...but i'm crazy like that

but i'd kill to hear 'devon on a sunday'...i hear it's even better than 'heaven on a sunday'

oh...i've been caught in a trap...

I don't want much i like whatwver setlist he chooses but.....I would like to hear 1 solo song he never sang in concert called ''TAKE IT AWAY" and one beatles song he never played (as far as i know)called ''when i'm sixty four'' nobody ever asks for it but i am sure it would turn any arena into one giant sing along.Just my small wish list.
