Go to as many events as you can. Go to things you don't know what they are. Enjoy it. I bought tickets to at least one event for virtually every day in '96 and had extended family visiting. We had a blast. The olympics in your home city? Not likely to happen in your lifetime again. Take advantage of it if you can.
