My thoughts goes to all of you and your families. I´ve seen footage from many places in the world that have been affected by mother nature with heavy rain etc. Must be the global warming.

heavy rain? we've had a drought of epic proportions. my lawn crunches when i walk on it. but...everyone is together and healthy...so, who's complaining?

It's rained here since April. Not stopped. No kidding.

Not sure we've had any rain here since april. Haven't needed to mow in nearly a month and the lawn is dusty.

Well Maryland, at least in my area, was hit by ground lightining and about 20 minutes of rain and 70 mph winds the night of June 29 and we were without power until July 3 at noon. It was during one of the hottest spells in this area this year. It was not good. I stayed in my house with windows open all night, even the front door storm door screen. It was brutal! My house is ALL electric.

My sister and nephew who live 3 miles away didn't get their power back until July 6.

I guess you never know what you have until its gone!! And trust me, I DO know what I have and am very grateful for it.

good to know things are getting better, g4...just like with good ol' laz, i get a little worried when you're not on here apologizing for something you simply don't need to apologize for !

chris forgot to mention that his lawn crunches because he's trying to grow Cap'n Crunch Crunchberries...silly guy...anyone'll tell him just add milk and wait a few minutes...it won't crunch no more !!
