Just picked up Blunderbuss by Jack White. Highly recommended. His best (IMO) since Satan.

Yep, best thing he's done since GBMS for sure. Some of it is mindblowing, esp the closing track.

I've just bought this as well.....amazing album.

add my name to the luv me some jack white list...blunderbuss has quickly eclipsed all else, for the moment...

while all the love seems directed oft towards the last song...there are many treasures galore: i did have one problem w/the last bit...too danged short !! that track could've wended its way around for another 2-5 minutes and i'd've followed

neil young & crazy horse - americana
neil & the boys take some classic (as in songs from the 19th century...) folks songs, toss in a few early 20th century songs and give 'em a big, round, late '60's/early '70's rock 'n roll kick in the pants, crazy horse style. has the potential for being politically devisive if your thin skinned about how little we've changed..ends up being a great RnR record that has something to say

another in a long string of really neat albums: paddy & the boys bring on the folk and visit with all sorts of people like bon iver, the civil wars, the decemberists, paolo nutini...

and quite a few others i'd never heard of: pistol annies, punch brothers, the low anthem... they even manage a piece with a NASA astronaut, cady coleman...that on the surface, might sound like it would be ill-advised, but, but, because of a love of music shared by coleman and the chieftains, ends up being sweet and really kinda nice

yep, another great blues rock album by the man...i'd like to say i'm surprised, but, after 13 albums in 12 years, each different, yet building on a firm foundation, the guy has it down... as usual, the covers glimmer and the new songs fit right in...flat out nails it, again...

now, when is a new black country communion album, joe ? ( greedy little sh!t, aren't i ?)

the smashing pumpkins new one oceana sounds as if it were recorded back in the band's heyday.

it sounds as if it were fine tuned over and over again until all the simmering juices were just perfect. sounds like it took a long, long time to make

regarding jack white's blunderbuss...i've always loved jack and his playing. very original, groundbreaking screech he's developed for himself. he has a solo on weep themselves to sleep that literally knocks my socks off. a screechy duel...one in each earbud...with himself. that solo is worth the price of the album.

i'm really digging Silver Age

alot of the reviews comment on its similarity to Copper Blue/early Sugar...and that was the intention: bob's said it was a sequel...

however, what many do not say, but what i definatively feel, is that it is a far more mature approach to the same sort of musical thinking

...now, if he'll just give me Workbook II...i can die happy...
