McCartney Singles and other songs

Postby Brainwashed » Wed Feb 22, 2012 11:46 pm

Should Paul release an album containing of b-sides that were never officially released on any original album, cd singles, movie soundtracks, and etc on a two disc collection?

This is what I was able to put together.

Disc 1

1. Oh Woman, Oh Why
2. Give Ireland Back To the Irish
3. Little Woman Love
4. Mama's Little Girl
5. Mary Had A Little Lamb
6. Mess
7. Walking in the Park With Elosie
8. Bridge Over The River Suite
9. Sally G
10. Girls School
11. Lunch Box
12. My Carnival
13. We All Stand Together
14. Simple As That
15. Spies Like Us
16. Rainclouds
17. Ode To A Koala Bear
18. I'll Give You A Ring
19. Twice In a Lifetime
20. Once Upon A Long Ago
21. Ou Est Le Soleil
22. Same Time Next Year
23. Prat Party
24. Loveliest Thing
25. Flying To My Home

Disc 2

1. Back On My Feet
2. Good Sign
3. The First Stone
4. I Wanna Cry
5. I'm In Love Again
6. Broomstick
7. Tropic Island Hum
8. Love Come Tumbling Down
9. Looking For You
10. Growing Up Falling Down
11. I Want You To Fly
12. Summer Of 59
13. This Loving Game
14. She Is So Beautiful
15. I've Only Got Two Hands
16. (I'm Partial To Your) Abracadabra
17. Fabulous
18. I Want To Walk You Home
19. Its So Easy
20. (I Want To) Come Home
21. My One and Only Love
22. Baby's Request (Re-record)
23. Vanilla Sky*
24. Best Love
25. All My Trials

I know there are some singles off Band On The Run and McCartney II, but they have already been officially released on the reissues, so I didn't bother with them. I also didn't bother with the Complete works of Off The Ground either, hopefully Paul releases a two disc set for that here in the states. For "Vanilla Sky" I know a live version appears on Back In The US, but he should also release the studio version. For the two bonus tracks for KOTB I just added those simply because I just downloaded those two off iTunes and ill probably just throw them on this collection for shits and giggles.

If these songs have never been released, are they all "bootlegs"?
I suggest moving Disc 1, track 5. Mary Had A Little Lamb, to the end of the disc, so that you can stop listening before you get to it.
Also, does anyone else get:

this is, of course, a grand idea....long overdue...but it should include every one of these lost/semi-lost gems, imho

c-erb queried @ 03:34 - "...does anyone get..."

:? are you, possibly, refering to my post, c-erb ? :-??
it's ok, if so...
but, you coulda said...'hey, guys...whats up with that crazy mr h...that last one ? whew !!'
and i wouldna been in the slightest bit upset...

BUT....if it was me/my post that had you stumped...and you couldn't bring yourself to at least ask me what i'd been smokin'...well...then....i would be upset.... ( that's a lie ! )
'cause...everyone knows i don't smoke...cigars....
it was, as i've oft mused in the past...the funny mushrooms on my frozen pizza

that's my story...and i'm stickin' to it :YMHUG:

and..if your query was not in reference to mine...well, then, i do apologize with great reverence for seemingly insinuating otherwise, possibly impeaching your impechable honor and putting my oversized foot in my teeny-weeny eating device... ... =))

All of these will be collected as Bonus Tracks on the various re-issues, so its probably redundant at this point -

Now, it would be nice (and SIMPLE) if Paul would put together some DIGITAL collections of these to make these easier for casual fans and those just getting into Paul--

as opposed to trolling record stores and ordering out of the back of Goldmine back in the early 80s to get my copy of Give Ireland Back To the Irish or My Love/The Mess.

The posting times on the forum are correct--it's only on the MACCA-Central home page "Latest 10 Posts in oBLOGdi-oBLOGda" that is weird.

I agree wholeheartedly with Mr. H. I loved going to record stores and thumbing through the vinyl to find that one LP that I wanted for my collection or one I found that I wanted and not necessarily for my collection. Same goes for bookstores. A dying breed. I love going to book stores and browsing around. I have found many books that I was looking for but now . . . .

It's sad the state of affairs and I don't mean the world. Record stores and bookstore are going by the wayside like so many other U.S. institutions. (GREAT BIG SIGH HERE). Sniff, sniff.
