Tom Waits Bad as me is à great album perhaps My favourite 2011

Heard good things about Tom Waits' new album but haven't heard it yet. The only "new" album I got this year I was highly disappointed in and quite sorry I wasted my money on it.

Paul Simon's "So Beautiful or So What". I know John's "Double Fantasy" isn't exactly new, but did anyone hear the 'stripped down' version that was released last summer? C'est comme il faut!

Wasn't that Double Fantasy re-issue with the stripped own version from 2010?

There seems to be some confusion about this on my part. It wasn't included in the box set, but was sold individually. I picked it up at Best Buy last spring or summer when I spotted it on their new release rack. I'm embarrassed to say I knew nothing about it's existence before then, so since it was a 'new release' according to Best Buy, I took it as such.

haven't bought all these...but listened to most...liked them all, often immensely, but that's about it

only albums i got even half way psyched for were tom waits ( great album..but, heck, it's tom waits, right ? ), peter gabriel : new blood ( undewhelming, but good..kinda like 'scratch my back' was ) and ry cooder (also a bit undwerwhelming, though good )

spent more time buying older stuff i'd either missed the first time or somehow lost over the years...a little neil young, some springsteen, some james taylor...

other than the waits,the only two that i keep returning to are the flaming lips 'soft bulletin' and the cure 'the top'...so i guess those are my big 3
