Just wanted to say that I just purchesed the Kinks mono set - a beatiful package containg all the Kinks seven first album, one album of ep:s and two albums of rare tracks. Actually this even surpasses the Beatles monoset when it comes to packaging - all original sleeve, box diskuised as an old recordplyer and a great harcover book. The sound really kicks some serious a-s with a rawness and punch I never heard before in these great albums. Musically I personally think that the Kinks is the one brittish album that -in terms of songs and records come close and sometimes even is better than the Beatles. Waterloo sunset may be one of the greatset popsongs ever, Dead end streeet is the bastard cousin of Penny Lane, You really got me is the prototype heavy metal . Im not like everybody else prototype punk etc Not to mention the full album Village green preservation society the best conceptalbum ever made and so brittish. Highly recomended for everyone with two ears
