efg, funny you mentioned paul simon. i was listening to him on the radio the other day. i thought...does this guy have a song that i don't like? he's been writing great songs for nearly as long as paul has. he is one of the all time greats, i think.

back in the day, might have been in the mid-late 70's. there was a great SLN bit featuring paul simon and george harrison. it was the week after lorne michaels publicly offered john, paul, george and ringo $500 to reunite on his show. they could even give ringo less than his part, he said. allegedly, paul was in ny at john's apartment while watching this very show, and considered showing up at the studio. the following week george showed up expecting a reunion. mr michaels had to tell him it was just a joke... and...paul simon was already slated to be that weeks musical guest. so they performed together. great piece of live music...and live tv.

Eric Clapton might be interesting. Julian Lennon . . . I think it COULD happen. Don't really care for Paul Simon although he does write some good songs. I just don't care for his singing voice. I know, I'm picky.

Hey! I know some might have thought of this but why not Julian and Sean Lennon, Dhani Harrison, Zak Starkey and James McCartney. Actually I have been toying with a dream that they all get together and call themselves "The Beatles - Second Generation". Yeah I know, Dream On. Hey, good title for a song.
