by far and away the Beatles. I never cared for PJ though so I'm biased, but I think Soldier of Love is actually one of the best Live at the BBC tracks.

late to the party, eddie, but you're quite right... while i'm not enamored with the PJ cover, it packs more punch than the rather tired retread the fab four made.

having said that, i ought to point out that i am on record, somewhere around here (in the past: but i stick to it), as saying that the early beatle remakes are my least favorite of beatle tracks...

and PJ is one of my alltime favorites...so...

given the chance to see vedder & co. rock (ever more slightly) out with this chestnut (and, i might add, for a different reason/purpose: the beatle readings is a perfunctory '50's love song rehash...PJ's is as a bit of an anti-war ode) is always great music to my ears...

besides...after that, i got to just sit and watch through alot of the other PJ live bits off youtube...great stuff

it's okay for eddie to be biased. not that much of a surprise, really. i mean, clearly he's a beatle fan. take a look at how many posts he has here.

but also...anyone know who the singer of pearl jam is...anyone? what is eddie's moniker here? anyone?

i'm going to go with the beatle's version. but then again...i'm changing my name to BeatleC. so, what do i know?
I want to tell her that I love her a lot, but I got to get a belly full of wine.
