as the boys of mope seem ready to gear up to another album/tour for next year, they've just announced they will take to the stage in london, NY and LA this november for a repeat performance of their sydney extravaganza 'reflections' from earlier this year.
during these performances, much as on their 2002 'trilogy' (pornography, disintegration and bloodflowers) set smith, gallup, cooper, along with returning keyboardist roger o'donnell will be joined by erstwhile founder lol tolhurst, to peform their first 3 albums, three imaginary boys, 17 seconds and faith, in their entirety along with encores of that era.
i have the 'trilogy' set: it is fantastic...if i get a chance i'll take in a show, but tickets, while not overly priced, will be very limited: all the venues have somewhere between only 3,000 and 7,000 per show, with only 7 sets to be played altogether...either way, the sydney set was filmed and i eagerly await that
i've seen the group a couple of times, and i won't be eternally damaged if i miss it...in fact, i might just hold out hope for a real tour next year...but...wouldn't it be nice if some former beatle could find the balls to do something like this ?
