not just that, cd..the official, released album is a re-edit of the original: on the original double disc/album songs are at different speeds, feature different lyrics, or, in some cases, lyrics in different orders...on at least one track, no lyrics at all (added later to the re-edit)
a REAL complete , all encompassing, historically accurate release would, in the best case scenario, include the official single disc/album (remastered) AND the original full double (also remastered) with NO CUTS (to either) made.
as well as any 'lost' tracks and variations of existing tracks...anything else...will be at least a slight disappointment.
this album represents what may be his single most outrageously off the wall creative burst...whether one believes it succeded or not, he's never, song for song, note for note, sound for sound, album-wide, ever been this intensively inventive.
the fact that macca included it in the initial release schedule might suggest that he is not nearly as unfond of this album as some fans have suggested he may be.
it, and his most daring moment, deserves a near archival treatment.
