Much to my surprise, I turned on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon to find Paul as the main guest. Some pretty good segments: Paul and Jimmy performing "Scrambled Eggs", and Paul plays "Here Today" in tribute of John Lennon. Oddly enough he played it in a lower key; must have been trying to mark the somber occasion. I'm sure this show will be posted on Hulu or the NBC website by tomorrow.
i saw that. at his age, i am done expecting it to sound circa ram era or wings over america era. it is what it is. and that song (here today) sounds especially sad sung with an older voice. it may have been written by a younger man. but lyrically, it works even better sung by him now.
I want to tell her that I love her a lot, but I got to get a belly full of wine.
Was anybody else entirely pleased to see Paul perform "Here Today" on the show? I mean I was shocked that he actually played something from his solo career that isn't THAT well-known instead of dishing out a usual Beatles song like "Got To Get You Into My Life" or something like that!
