This opener doesn´t do it for me! It is a great song, but not a song to start a concert with. Why keeps Paul playing this??

Agree- it worked once, but unless he's gonna use live brass - not the choice I'd make.

My top candidates for an opener:
Still liked that Venus and Mars/Rock Show/Jet opening
Junior's Farm would bring down the house
The Night Before would be an interesting choice - solid rocker to start the evening
Hi, Hi, Hi would also be a good one to trot out again w/this band

the best songs by paul to open a show are obvious ones. venus and mars...is about the beginning of a concert. and sgt pepper...is about the beginiing of a music show.

both rock. both would get the crowd crazy excited. and both would set the bar for high expectations for the rest of the show.

Let's not forget Hello, goodbye. This 2002/2003 opener was just spectacular, with the pre-show included.

Why not start with Sgt.Pepper, not including The End?

This song is a must-be. I love the way he played it on the 1989/1990 World Tour, the solos, the reprise. The last time he played (Live 8 start) was just spectacular.

Yeah, I agree MMT doesn't really work.

It's still brilliant that he did some shows opening with V&M/RS/Jet this year. I really never ever thought he would.
