Break From touring

Postby EddieV » Sat Dec 18, 2010 1:55 pm

Okay Paul has played many concerts the last 3 years. After the last concert in Liverpool , he should take a break from touring maybe 6 months. I think he should work out a new way to present his songs, not always end with Sgt. Pepper/The End and so on. I mean the some of he exitement of going to a Macca has gone. The songs are still great though. Paul, think how you can make it exiciting again, not so predictable. Would be great with some brand new songs as well!!

Well- Paul has pretty much plumbed the depths of the Beatles catalog - he still has a LOT of solo ground to cover - I'd like it if, like Bob Dylan, he'd throw in a couple recent (i.e. last 15 years) songs by surprise.

As far as Beatles songs...Paul has not really played:
The Night Before (be a great opener!)
Another Girl (ho hum)
What You're Doing (another ho-hum)
Lovely Rita
Your Mother Should Know
Martha My Dear
Rocky Raccoon
Come and Get It!

As far as solo stuff, the top 3 have gotta be:
Junior's Farm
Back Seat of My Car
Smile Away (only because this band rocks)
Everyone's talkin' 'bout the President
We all chip in for a bag of cement
