In 1970, did John Lennon really throw a brick into Paul McCartney's home?

There is a scene in 1970 that I saw in "Lennon Naked" where John gets out of his limo, hops over the fence of Paul McCartney's house and throws a rock at a window of his home. John is pissed that Paul has left the Beatles. I saw this, also, in the "Linda McCartney Story." In that film, a bearded Lennon pulls up outside of Paul's home, hops the fence, yells out, "McCartney!!!" Then proceeds to pick up a rock and throws it at the front door window of McCartney's home. Since it has been portrayed in two films, now. Did this event really ever take place? And, if it did, was this at Macca's Cavendish Road home?

Loved that scene on Linda McCartney's movie. Don't know if it happened, maybe just Paul knows it, but I do beleive John could do it because of his temperament was agressive on that matters.

I´ve read in a bio book (Macca´s bio by G. Giuliano) that such incident did take place. Also the book mentions another Beatle or two (Ringo and/or George) in the car (the psicodelic colored Rolls, probably) waiting for John. Troubled times...

well, if memory serves me right, didn't john and george pull the plug, earlier, and what he was really p.o.'d about was that paul would no longer stand silently by while john completed his timeline, but went ahead and made official what john and george had already decided....

would the fact that the brick incident now appears in a lennon (not mccartney inspired) film kinda give it some credence.

Can I assume the home depicted in these two films was Paul's London home? I have visited this street and the fence/gates are rather tall for even an Olympian pole vaulter to master!!! I am betting this story has been fabricated or embellished by us fans...

having missed the part where-in this has appeared in seperate movies/books/etc...i'm thinking it may, in fact, NOT be a 'fan embellishment'...which, still, does not make it fact, either.

moreover..WHY would 'fans' make up and perpetuate such a story: clearly 'fandom' has always spent the overwhelming majority of their time sanctifying john (& yoko)and his music, while villifying mccartney (& linda) and his.

even here on this 'mccartney funsite'....
