Never ending tour?

Postby EddieV » Thu Jun 03, 2010 8:06 am

Just read that there are added 4 concerts more. Is he tired of recording or is he trying to catch up on Bob Dylan :-D

idk but i just watched a video of the second mexico concert, and Jet sounds pretty rough :/

Also, I fear that if/when he does put out another album, it shall be his last. Perhaps that is why he is taking his time making it?

I don't think his next album will be his last. I think Paul will always be making music. Whether he does more classical work (still waiting on that classical guitar album), more Fireman type stuff, rock or whatever. I'd be willing to bet he'll be making music til the day he dies.

As for being tired of recording... maybe. Think how many albums he has released this past decade. Did the Stones or Dylan put out as many albums or with such quality? Even younger artists didn't match his level of output. He may know that he can't keep on touring forever so maybe this is him doing his victory lap while he can.

But don't worry, we still got a few Macca albums on the way.

I agree he may make some classical works, however his voice is going. It's still tremendous, and amazing for his age, believe me, however it's fading fast. I think he may do one more vocal album but that'll be his last VOCAL album. He probably will continue to do more instrumental, or maybe I'll be wrong and there will be more vocal albums. However he won't be touring for much longer. He claims this isn't his last tour and maybe it isn't but I'd say second to last. I've watched some videos from Mexico and the voice is going fast. It's sad :( Believe me, I'd LOVE to be wrong. But I think I'm generally accurate.

He is adding KANSAS CITY!!!!

Yes!

Last time I had to drive from KC to Dallas to see him-- so now I get to see him at the Sprint Center.

How much are tickets to these running?

I don't know where to put this question....this is as good a place as any.

In the past, Wix has usually had a toy / toys on the keyboard.....a teddy bear, I think. Something. To those who have been to a show on this tour, is he carrying on the tradition? I noticed during the White House show that there were lava lights around, but I didn't see anything else.

Just wondering.
