hey lobbybobby my grandfather was in ww2 my father was in Korea and my brother was in Nam so is there anything else you would like to add? :-@

Derek - I say "well done" and thanks for posting. Your arrangement reminds me ofl something that would be in a Monty Python soundtrack, kind of a tongue-in-cheek takeoff on the original. You captured the "British" feel of the original, and I envision a haughty English audience sitting back listening to an orchestra play this song. Well done and do some more!
I'm painting a room in a colorful way, and when my mind is wandering, there I will go.

late to the game, but i'll agree with jeff...nice post, derek; good attempt at atmosphere

interestingly, i'd also agree with jjs : put your version with a nice little cartoon short, and it'd be a winner
