MACCA Radio buffering issues: UPDATE

Heads up it's either my computer...or...buffering is an issue again. Sat. Feb. 6th in Western NY & we were fine this morning for "Breakfast With The Beatles" but now all it does is constantly buffer...

The new stream provider says it's not at their end, so I'm looking for another provider, sure just after I paid the bill, things crap out again. Stay tuned.

News reports of the winter storm in the north-east has resulted in hundreds of thousands of homes without power. This is what is no doubt affecting the quality of the connection of my local server here in Canada to the primary stream servers in the USA and the secondary in France. My server sends feeds to both locations with a 128k and 32k feed, totally four feeds. I can get to the servers easily and a few seconds of data is exchanged but then the connection craps out. So what you listeners get is continuous buffering of what little data the stream servers get from my server. There is nothing I can do about this at this time other than trying out a bunch of other more expensive stream providers who have their data centers at a different physical local than what I currently use. No can do.

Monday, when business opens, I will be contacting my internet data provider and if the problem is continuing, I will verify the connection issue and look at other options. Please be patient, thank you.

Monday, Monday morning 2/8/10 @ 9:52 a.m. EST & all is well with buffering & we are finishing Dr. Winston O'Boogie's version of "You Can't Catch Me" and awaiting the approaching, and apt "Good Day Sunshine" (gorgeous sun filled, but brisk, morning here) by The Rutles themselves...all of this reported from Western, NY.
