of course its the beatles! ya know i think even todays young folks are starting to realize that todays music is mostly crap and the music from the 60s and 70s is still really great. but thats just the opinion of a old 60s guy. no offense young folks. :-h

Does anyone know- did they re-release a version of '1' with the remastered tracks?

Weren't they kinda remastered back in 2000? Similar to the job they did with the Yellow Sub re-release (1999?)


No... YS was REMIXED into 5.1 surround sound. I was disappointed they didn't do this with '1'--

Instead, they simply picked a "best available" of every track (i.e. using the slightly improved She Loves You from the singles collection) and mastered '1' from those- but really no improvement in sound quality-- compare Come Together on '1' with Come Together on remastered 'Abbey Road'.

It would have been cool had they put out '1' as a part of the "remastered" set.
