For me, John Lennon's murder was one of those times in your life that you remember where you were and what you were doing when you heard the terrible news. I was in junior high and watching Monday night football with my Dad when they interrupted the game and broke the news. I just remember wondering "why would anyone want to kill John Lennon?" I had been a Beatle fan from the time I was so little. I knew enough that the dream of ever seeing the Beatles together again had died with him. I felt robbed along with the rest of the world. The world was robbed of a great human being and a musician who we will never know what music he would have written had he lived. He had so much more to give to this world musically and as a humanitarian. His son Sean was robbed of knowing his father and Julian was robbed of making ammends with his Dad. John was only 40 years old and did not deserve to die the way he did. So sad and his loss has never left me. "Imagine" if John was "here today".
