Anyone want to bet he'll play Simply Having A wonderful Christmas time at a couple of the shows right before the holiday?

Other than that, I bet he sticks almost exactly to the set list he played for the US tour this year.

These concert prices are pretty ridicilous nowadays (paid € 150 for a field ticket). I was there when he performed in Rotterdam in '89 en '93. Still feel bad that I didn't go to his '76 concert in Rotterdam (I was a bit too young at the time to travel alone).

Where did you buy your ticket??? I just bought it at the site of the gelredome and choose E-printing. Did you print your ticket also? I can see on my ticket which entrance i have to take? isn't that on yours?

Hi Digna,
usually I buy tickets through ticketmaster.nl, but on that site they had no McCartney-tickets, so I did some googling and ended up at pepetickets.nl. They would send me my ticket by postal mail so I have no idea yet where I'm gonna be standing, But I hope with the money I have spent I will be practically on stage with Paul ;)
I didn't realize you could buy tickets through the Gelredome directly. Anyway, an expensive lesson!

So if there are any potential concert-go-ers buy your ticket through livenation.nl!!!

Yes, you paid way too much EwaldK, my tickets were about 87 euro each (inclusive service costs). I've bought them via livenation.nl / eventim.nl.

I've seen him live in Arnhem! :-D The show was great. The highlights for me were Live And Let Die, Mrs. Vandebilt and A Day In The Life. I didn't study the set list much, so it was really a suprise he did A Day In The Life, however the instruments didn't got as high as in the original recording. The fireworks on Live And Let Die keeps amazing!

Some not so highlights (is that called downlights?) was that the sound was sometimes too loud (for me). This causes that the voice of Paul was less clear. This was especially the case with the heavier songs like 'Highway'. With songs like Blackbird, Here Today and Yesterday the loudness of the sound was no problem. Paul's voice was very clear with that songs.

I was happy he did some newer stuff, like Highway, Sing The Changes and Dance Tonight. Dance Tonight is not so my favourite song, but I really enjoyed that one live, more then the rest of the newer songs. I was hoping he would have done English Tea too, but that song didn't come. I was surprised he didn't did Maybe I'm Amazed, because that song is one of Pauls favourites (I heard).

Dance Tonight live was excellent--a real surprise for me. Maybe I'm Amazed is simply too hard to sing for Paul at 67. In 2005, it didn't sound good and it seems Paul has acknowledged it's simply out of his range at this point, even if it is perhaps his best solo song.

Saw the show in Arnhem:

Excellent show!

My remarks:

I was surprised about the very good state of his voice.

Obladi-Oblada works live very well!

Positive thing that he is making variations on some original songs like I got a feeling, Paperback writer.

The beautiful Eleneor Rigby is devaluated by artificial instrumentation. Also Got to get you into my life.

Newer songs like I want to come home is, Dance Tonight and Only mama knows blended in perfectly. Sing the changes sounded a little chaotic, but that was probably due to the not always perfect sound production.

Live and let die was one of the highlights to me. Blackbird gave me goosebumps!

Atmosphere was great, Dutch press very positive.

Cheers!
