eddie, after only one listen, the new album is great. believe it or not, they even do a couple of tunes that sound like the beatles. i don't think you'll be disappointed.
I want to tell her that I love her a lot, but I got to get a belly full of wine.

The Felice Brothers

Either their self-titled album of last year or the new one "Yonder is the Clock".

Find out about them here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Felice_brothers

They're great!

Brendan Benson My Old, Familiar Friend

I've just given it my first listen.
I dig it after one go round. It really showcases what Brenden is capable of accomplishing!

An absolute must have for any fan! :-BD

I'm a big fan, but I haven't got it yet. As soon as I walk past a record store, I will!

Say Hey (I love you) by Michael Frani and Spearhead- #51 in Billboard and rising- very Macca-esque chorus and theme.

"Surprise" by Paul Simon.
It's my fave album of the decade, and the only one I can say I actually prefer, though not by much, to some of the amazing McCartney albums released over the 2000-2009 era.
It's on my top shelf of Simon works, along with any other great one by him you'd care to name. I LOVE it that much.
I'm sending it to a friend & just picked up a used copy to do so.
In the last ten years only those Macca albums, "SMiLE" & to a lesser extent- but still an incredible abum- "That Lucky Old Sun" really moved me that deeply...I might add "Magic" by Bruce Springsteen & The E-Street Band too (his best since the 80's for me). Blessings
Om Namah Shivaya !!!!

"Surprise" by Paul Simon.

That's funny- I always took Surprise as Paul Simon's Press To Play- he really let's Eno get into it too much IMHO on some songs that otherwise would be fine (How Can You Live in the Northeast?)

I like it- thought it was a **** effort- just not my absolute fave. I'd rank it where I rank Driving Rain.
