Plastic Ono Band Is Back

Postby JimmyMcCullochFan » Mon Jun 08, 2009 3:17 pm

"Wings IV introduced Jimmy McCulloch, a spunky lead guitarist with grit, able to spur Paul on unlike any previous soloist. His debut track, the magnificent single `Junior's Farm', stands as one of Wings' finest emotional and technical releases."

it isn't really the plastic ono band.

you can call a dog a fish, but that doesn't mean it's really a fish.

unless the gonja is really primo.
I want to tell her that I love her a lot, but I got to get a belly full of wine.

Yoko must be doing this to further Sean's career. I can't see her wanting this for herself. Oh well, I'm sure John would be cool with it so ...whatever.
I go back so far... I'm in front of me!

I've got tickets to go and see them on Sunday. Really looking forward to it.

The Plastic Ono Band was a conceptual band created by John and Yoko - so I still see it as the Plastic Ono Band. The band was whoever was in it at the time (in fact John once argued that Wings was "almost as conceptual" a band as the POB as it was basically whoever was backing Paul at the time).

There was (of course) a Yoko Ono and The Plastic Ono Band album released at the same time as John Lennon and The Plastic Ono Band, with the band backing her on her music (and of course there are plenty of Yoko led B-sides).

I still see it as the POB and think John would have supported it - but hey that's just my view!

I don't doubt John would've supported it. But the claim that Wings was as "conceptual" as POB is ludicrous. Wings was/is Paul, Linda & Denny.
