Wonderful muddy production with Bob Moulds vocals almost hidden under the guitars. The way a good rock album should sound.

Great choice Eddie. ^:)^

Nice to be back guys. As Eddie says, I've been posting one or two videos over on Maccaspan and I've just bought a new computer (the other one gave up the ghost). I'm posting this on my ipod shuffle which ain't easy I can tell you (you need fingers like matchsticks).
Anyway my top 5 would be (although they change on a weekly basis) -

1/Pretty Things - Silk Torpedo
2/Charlatans - Up At The Lake
3/Prodigy - Fat Of The Land
4/Oasis - Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants
5/Nirvana (60's band) - To Markos Three.
Man I could smell your breath a mile away.

Honestly the more I thought about it, the more I thought about my most honest answer- which would involve artists who deal with more Spiritual music...they would be in no particular order
1) Shelter- Rasa
2) Door Of Faith- Krishna Das
3) Breath Of The Heart- Krishna Das
4) Rasa In Concert- Rasa
5) Dakshina- Deva Premal

For more standard fare, and the stuff that interests folks here more I imagine...and again, in no particular order
I can't do a list of five albums, but I can tell you about...fave albums by fave artists pop-rock, etc.
1) Paul Simon/Simon & Garfunkel... Solo Simon- Graceland; Rhythm Of The Saints; Hearts & Bones; Surprise...Simon & Garfunkel- Bridge Over Troubled Water; Bookends
2) Richard & Linda Thompson/Richard Thompson- Pour Down Like Silver; I Want To See The Bright Lights Tonight; Shoot Out The Lights; Hokey Pokey; In Concert November 1975...Richard Thompson- Hand Of Kindness; Small Town Romance; The Chronos Show (Live);
3) Neil Young (& Crazy Horse)/CSNY...Neil Young- After The Goldrush; Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere; Live Rust; Zuma;...CSNY- Deja Vu; 4 Way Street
4) Lucinda Williams- Happy Woman Blues; Lucinda Williams; Sweet Old World; Car Wheels On a Gravel Road
5) Yo La Tengo- I Can Hear The Heart Beating As One; Electro-Pura; Fakebook; Painful
Also The Byrds; Television; Bruce Springsteen (& The E-Street Band); Bob Dylan; Patti Smith; The Mekons; Toots & The Maytals; Bob Marley; The Beach Boys; Buddy Holly; Chuck Berry; The Everly Brothers; Al Green; The Kinks; The Rolling Stones; The Who/Pete Townshend; The Velvet Underground/Lou Reed; Nick Lowe/Dave Edmunds/Rockpile; Elvis Costello; The Clash;
And many more that I might add later

Fave albums by fave artists- Spiritual Theme, which are probably truly my favorite favorites...
Krishna Das- Breath Of The Heart; Door Of Faith
Rasa- Shelter; Rasa In Concert
Deva Premal- Dakshina
Jai Uttal- Kirtan
also maybe Primeaux & Mike (Peyote Singers); Enya & an album called "Rhythms Of Rapture: Sacred Musics Of Haitian Voudo"- Various Artists
Om Namah Shivaya !!!!
