Springsteen- Nebraska
Genesis - The Lamb Lies down On Broadway
U2 - The Unforgettable Fire
Springsteen - Born to Run
Sinatra - The Voice

Not my top 5 albums (pretty close though), but what could be deemed the "best" records I own.

Springsteen and early Genesis are a must have for any music fan.

To round out a top ten (these are interchangable with the top 5) I would say maybe:
Yes- the Yes Album
U2- POP
Harry Chapin - Greatest Stories Live.
Neil Diamond - Hot August Night
Rush - 2112

Pet Sounds - Beach Boys
Blood On the Tracks - Bob Dylan
Used Songs (compilation) - Tom Waits
I'm Wide Awake It's Morning - Bright Eyes (I really like "Another Travelin' Song" - good road trip album, er, CD - dating myself again)
Tim - The Replacements

- the list will be different tomorrow!

I just can´t mention the 5 best overall, but i can mention the 5 which mean most to be at the moment.

1. Oasis --> Dig out your soul. Saw them in Copenhagen 2 months ago and I really love this album. It´s a more rocking Oasis than ever.

2. Stones --> Bridges to Babylon.

3. Metallica--> Black album.

4. Robbie Williams --> Life thru a lens

5. Bruce Springsteen --> The Rising
You must appreciate the day...
