Looks like there will finally be a proper compilation for George that covers his Beatles music as well as his solo work. It's about time!

Actually it WON'T, thankfully, cover his Beatles era songs...it'll only be Beatles songs he did live as a solo artist. I REALLY hope that they FINALLY release the live Concert For Bangladesh version of "Hear Me Lord"...since "Love Minus Zero No Limit" came out on the remaster, that is the one & only missing track from that show...I highly doubt it'll be on there, or anything else rare or new, but one can hope. I also REALLY hope that it is a 2 CD collection too. He deserves a box set, but this is a start. Blessings!!

Kind of pointless really. Any Harrison fan already has all this. I guess it being remastered is a plus, but toss in something we don't have at least.

Hmmm..a Greatest Hits compilation with George's greatest hits? I like all the songs and will buy it. A lot to complain about considering that it is a greatest hits CD. Did I miss something or does it also advertise Geoge's rarities?

WOW- that plain stinks- I really wanted to buy a companion to Ringo's Greatest Hits from a few years ago- that, other than missing "Don't Go Where the Road Don't Go" was spot on.

Also- I thought it was gonna be a 2CD-

1 CD:
1. My Sweet Lord
2. What Is Life
3. Bangladesh
4. Give Me Love
5. Dark Horse
6. You
7. Crackerbox Palace
8. This Song
9. Blow Away
10. All Those Years Ago
11. Got My Mind Set On You
12. When We Was Fab
13. Poor Little Girl
14. Cheer Down
15. Any Road
16. 2nd Brainwashed track
17. While My Guitar Gently Weeps (live in Japan)
18. Something (from Bangladesh)

If they added a CD2- you could have a bit more fun-- this is just plain odd.

If I made a Paul "hits" comp like George's

Postby jgkojak » Fri May 01, 2009 12:14 pm

The tracklist of George's Let It Roll sucks SO BAD, how about doing an equally bad Macca tracklist (I wasn't fond of All the Best's selection, since I felt they shouldn't have duplicated anything already on Wings Greatest, but at least everything but C Moon was a major hit).

* Got My Mind Set On You
1. Silly Love Songs
* Give Me Love (Give Me Peace On Earth)
2. My Love
* The Ballad Of Sir Frankie Crisp (Let It Roll)
3. Let Me Roll It
* My Sweet Lord (from All Things Must Pass, 1970)
4. Maybe I'm Amazed
* While My Guitar Gently Weeps (from Concert For Bangladesh Soundtrack, 1971)
5. The Long and Winding Road (from Wings Over America)
* All Things Must Pass
6. Too Many People
* Any Road
7. Dance Tonight
* This Is Love
8. This One
* All Those Years Ago
9. Here Today
* Marwa Blues
10. Friends To Go
* What Is Life
11. Another Day
* Rising Sun
12. Fine Line
* When We Was Fab
13. Hope of Deliverance
* Something (from Concert For Bangladesh Soundtrack, 1971)
14. Yesterday (from Wings Over America)
* Blow Away (from George Harrison, 1979)
15. Arrow Through Me
* Cheer Down (from Lethal Weapon 2)
16. A Love For You
* Here Comes The Sun (from Concert For Bangladesh Soundtrack, 1971)
17. Hey Jude (from Back in the US 2002)
* I Don't Want To Do It (from Porkys Revenge soundtrack, 1984)
18. Spies LIke Us
* Isn't It A Pity (from All Things Must Pass, 1970)
19. Smile Away

So what if we got a "greatest hits" that looked like this?
1. Silly Love Songs
2. My Love
3. Let Me Roll It
4. Maybe I'm Amazed
5. The Long and Winding Road (from Wings Over America)
6. Too Many People
7. Dance Tonight
8. This One
9. Here Today
10. Friends To Go
11. Another Day
12. Fine Line
13. Hope of Deliverance
14. Yesterday (from Wings Over America)
15. Arrow Through Me
16. A Love For You
17. Hey Jude (from Back in the US 2002)
18. Spies LIke Us
19. Smile Away

I'd listen to it- hell- I may even burn a copy of this for myself-- but its no GREATEST HITS package.

If the songs on Let It Roll have some sort of significance to George/Olivia/Dhani- wonderful, they should say so- just don't call it a hits package.

I'll buy it. Sorry fans don't think it's worthy. I do. That's why we have the forum. Opinions fly....hopefully feelings don't get hurt.
