Great idea - But the original ablum has some sentimental value for me. I remember the 1st time I heard a track from DF. It was playing on a NY FM station and the song was "Watching the Wheels." I remember I had a cheap cassette player with a condenser mic, and I placed it against the stereo speaker to record the song - The first new John Lennon track I heard in years. I personally loved the song, but when I played it for my mom (I was 15 at the time), she dismissed it as average and said that John produced better songs in the past. Of course, after my mom's comments I was determined to hear more from the new album. I stayed up to 12 midnight, and did not hear any other tracks from Double Fantasy. Being a young man in school, I forgot about John's new material for a while, except of course until that fateful night in December; which reminded me of how much I loved the man and his music. The only Lennon album I owned at the time of his death was "Imagine." But Double Fantasy will always bring me back to that time in my youth, and that winter when the world mourned the loss of the great John Lennon.
