loved the song...but, ...see the haircut that bassist had? i swear i had a mullet that rivaled that one. the 80's sure were a sparkly gem for fashion.
I want to tell her that I love her a lot, but I got to get a belly full of wine.

Once Upon a Long Ago is a non-album single from X-mas 1987 released ONLY in the UK. Its included on the UK All the Best.

Curiously- it is Paul' s last Top 10 song in the UK or US (it hit #10 in the UK).

Check out the b-side- Back On My Feet, the first released McCartney/MacManus track, and far superior to Once Upon...

I've often put down Press to Play as his most uninteresting album But this song is great, and I've always loved it.

Chris- it takes guts to admit to having a mullet. kudos man :ymapplause:

Fantastic song of Paul's. The b-side is great to but not better in my opinion.
I've always loved the extended version of this Once Upon... (not to be confused with the 'Long' version).

Personally I prefer the other video on the cliff with the animation than this one though.

Also what wonderfully abstract lyrics,...'Picking up scales and broken chords, puppy-dog tails in the house of lords,' - fantastic stuff. In my opinion this single should of done better than number ten.
