I think Slash and the boys should get an Axl sound-a-like and go on tour. Just like Journey does now

first things first. i am not a huge axl rose fan. i think he monopolized one of the better rock bands of the 90's, then his ego unravelled the band, thinking session musicians could play his songs just as effectively. he was wrong. old gnr had amazing chemistry. and that is gone now.

but...

i sorta like it. at first listen, it seems out of the ordinary that it took what? 13, 17 years to complete this album. really? but having said that...i believe that i am better off with a guns n roses album than without one. i enjoy these guys. they rock with an attitude. and they rock like no one else out there right now. its just fun rock music, played loud. axl prided himself on having new releases not sound that much like old stuff...and he succeeded here with that

it might not be fair that new stuff will forever be compared to old stuff (wonder if that ever happened to paulie?) but i guess its better to have great old stuff to be compared to..than not.
