After one or two gaffs this year, here's is latest tempestuous rant and boy does he look angry! This was posted on his website recently. What's it all about Ringo?

Yeah, I just saw that and it really came off to me as rude. I think he should be grateful that people still want his autograph. Just my opinion......

I agree his message is a little abrupt and fierce.

On the other hand I suspect that this is many stars' policy anyway. How many people genuinely read all their fan mail and sign anything that gets sent to them? I surprised Ringo kept it up this long.

If he doesn't want to answer all his mail and sign things anymore, I understand. I'm sure he's completely overloaded with things and after 68 years, he's had enough. But yeah, his message did come off a little rude. Weird!

He doesn't sound grumpy to me...he sounds exhausted & exasperated. He's given a lot over the years, still signs tons of stuff when he's out on tour (which he also still does pretty often), and I think he deserves his space after all these years.
Who knows what's going on in his life? How about some gratitude for all he's given, and still gives (he could just retire you know? He is 68- most folks already have at that age) as opposed to indignation over a pretty reasonable request? I think it was uncomfortable for him to do, and that showed a bit, but if he needs to set boundaries, I think that's fine. He also makes a point, amidst the exhaustion & exasperation, to note that this is sent out with "peace & love" folks.
The Beatles gave & still give a lot. They are human, not the property of ever demanding Beatle fans/fanatics. Blessings!

I always thought Ringo was the nicest Beatle and most obliging, maybe he's just having a bad day, but I must admit, he has been doing it for years...why stop now???
