I LOVE baseball...I love a few teams and am willing to adapt to whoever I'm dating, within reason that is...and that reason involves my love of the Red Sox (current and recent faves), Mets & Yankees (yes Red Sox and Yankees both)...I also dig the Dodgers, Giants, Angels and Cubs. While I like Yankee & Shea (both about to be gone & Shea replete with special Beatles energy & all) but Fenway Park is the greatest place I could ever imagine seeing a game...would love to go to Wrigley someday... not to tarnish an otherwise stellar beginning to this most exciting 2008 baseball season...but cub leadoff hitter broke a wrist by getting jammed with an inside fastball...and is now sidelined for 6 weeks. yet, cautiously optimistic i remain.

I LOVED your Cubbies post...I became a fan, though not a rabid one, back in the 70's...I was really pulling for them to at least get to the series, and if they got there against anyone but the Red Sox, I would have been rooting for them!!
As I said on previous posts my faves are...Brooklyn Dodgers, New York Giants (both defunct I know)...New York Yankees, New York Mets, and my #1 Boston Red Sox! I'm rooting for a Red Sox-Dodgers world series, and that ain't a-goin' so well right now either...though I do think the Sox will still probably triumph...the Dodgers maybe. Blessings!!

I've been a Braves fan all my life, through the bad years and the good ones. right now it's bad again. The Cubs have been a joke most of my life. A lot of the fans don't care if they win or lose, just that they have a party at Wrigley. I'm now wondering if even Lou P can get them into the Series, ever. Wrigley is a fun place to catch a game, especially during the day. If you want a winner, better look elsewhere.

Went to my first (and currently only) game Dodgers V Cubs in 2003, and this is their only bit of success since!

what are they, 3-1 down now? shame they prob wont be in the "World" Series.


BTW, why is the World Series called "The World Series"? No other US sports claim that kind of title - it should have a better name. Stanley Cup - good name. Superbowl - good name. World Series? meh
