The Blue Album. The first beatles album I actually intentionally listened too. And with the one I became a fan. And it's a great, fantastic album :D .

My very first Beatles album was "Rock & Roll Music". Remember the bright silver album cover with The Beatles almost looking 3D.Love it !!! With the title looking like it came from a 50's juke box,lol  And the two big thumbs holding the album.

Wings Greatest.

It's cut and dry. Just basically the classic hits from that era. Not overblown like MaccaSpan and it this compilation don't care whether or not you feel something has been left off.

Simply a great compilation.

Oh, baby, don't you let me down tomorrow,
Thro' the week we beg and steal and borrow.
Oh, for a chance to get away tomorrow.

The Red and Blue albums. Think of it as almost "The Essential Beatles" as it gives you are quite an overview of The Beatles career but leaves you wanting for more. Sort like you saw and enjoyed the movie; now you want to read the book.

For those of you who weren't around when it was released at least in the USA, that pair of double albums were released at a dollar less than the standard price for a double album. The reason being that there was a pirate compilation which was more comprehensive and actually included solo hits being advertized on the television. So you got an anthology of some of the best music ever made and you got it at a bargain. Those were truly the days.
