I'm particularly not a fan of Oasis or their music, but this was so unnecessary and uncalled for. People may not like the guy or what he says, but that doesn't give somone the right to assault him out of nowhere. I mean that is pretty scary and could happen to any musician. Look at Dimebag Darrell--a guitarist who was shot onstage!

This is a terrible example of lack of security and rage no matter what anyone thinks and it is a small victory for people who don't like Noel or the band, or at least someone trying to seek 15 minutes of fame, but in the grander scheme of things its scary and also misfortunate for the people who were there to enjoy the show, who love the band.

My fifteen year old daughter Courtney is nuts about Oasis and was there right up front when that happened. She's got some pretty decent pictures of it. She couldn't stop talking about it. The video is on youtube as well. I just couldn't believe the guy got by security, someone has or will be fired for this.

Courtney says his ribs are cracked, or something like that. Liam got a few punches at him, I'm sure the guy is going to sue him for that.

She was with us when we saw Paul in Quebec City and could not answer who she liked better

Luckily they came back on to finish the set but the concert was shortened and no encores at all. She was near the front probably 5 to 10 people from the stage, I was worried but her older sister was with her to protect her but if the crowd surged, geez. They postponed the London Ontario show as the official Oasis site said he has broken ribs.

with the exception of "whats the story morning glory" i could care less about oasis. i think noel is an pompus egotistical goof. but that sucks. it was uncalled for and shouldn't have happened. and what a coward to do it from behind. (biting lip to refrain from making politically incorrect joke)

So does the venue supply security, or does Oasis have their own people? Noel has said in his blog, that the guy got past the usually crack security...so, not sure what he meant by that.
Being caught by surprise like that, would cause a pretty nasty fall...especially holding a guitar. Pretty much a brain fart by the guy rushing the stage. Dang, have another beer you idiot.
