Geez James, it isn't that good a song....trust me.
The song still sometimes gives me a lump in my throat. It is such a good song because of how well it captures the feeling of the breakup. You're dying inside, but worse than her being mad at you, she feels NOTHING. "In her eyes you see nothing, no sign of love behind the tears cried for no one. A love that should have lasted years."
So be thankful, James, that you've never had to live through that, and enjoy the song.

He did it amazingly with the lyrics in 1966. For no one, HTAE, GTGYIML and Eleanor Rigby.
