The problem with John regarding drinking was that he was a lausy drinker: never knew when to stop (actually very susceptible to the input of others, like Jesse Ed Davis and Nilsson, who kept on encoraging him to proceed and wait for chaos/havoc to take place), usually got very aggressive and inconsequential on his actions after getting sloshed/plastered/drunk. When back to sobriety, he apparently forgot about all the s*** he did when drunk....
