6 songs from Rubber Soul and only 2 from Revolver has always struck me funny. Taxman and Got To Get You Into My Life are the two glaring omissions from these discs in my opinion. And even though I love Girl and Michelle, I don't really think they need to be included on any greatest hits package.

I really find it hard to pick 1 song out from the other. It does really change from day to day. Yesterday is perhaps my fave at the moment...

me too! I remember in year5 or 6 listening to a tape i made from the record for my Walkman...

I was 11 or 12 i think.

This album was my introduction to the Beatles. but as i look back on it, "1967-1970"(Blue Album) has like 28 songs in all and the songs was longer, whereas "red album" only 26. That aint right, atleast they shouldve had "Taxman" #1) so George can atleast have one song, #2) to give "Revolver more exposure.

This was the first vinyl I ever had (xmas 1976).
In fact I didn't even have a record player at the time and had to play it on my elder brothers deck and he lived about 2 miles away.
There's commitment for you!!

This is an amazing collection of singles. Arguably the greatestest packaging in rock n roll history.

I like it better than 67-70, because it plays like a great singles collection, whereas the Blue Album feels a little more disjointed since their albums during that later period where a bit more concept driven.

This was also my introduction to the Fabs after my brother won the album from the old WRKO - AM in Boston back in 1973.
The CD definitely should have been fleshed out more, which I did when I made a CD copy for my 8 year old son.
RED: add "Do You Want To Know A Secret", "Twist & Shout", "She's A Woman", "I Should Have Known Better", "I'm Down", "Taxman", "Here There & Everywhere", "Good Day Sunshine" & "Got To Get You Into My Life".

BLUE: add "Getting Better", "When I'm 64", "Blackbird", "Birthday", "Golden Slumbers - The End"
