I actually just saw it today. I didn't want to go. When I saw the preview in the spring, I was like: Awww NO!! I thought they tried to hard to get a Paul look-a-like and sound-a-like. But, two of my friends wanted to go see it and I am forever the compromiser, so I went. It was OK. After all of the "Max", "Sadie", "Jude", "Lucy"...I was looking for Chuck and Dave and Eleanor...Some of the dialog and situations were a little stretched: "Prudence" literally comes through the bathroom window...But I thought the singing was good and the arrangements weren't too, um, perverted. And then again, it was the Sgt Pepper movie that got me turned on to the Beatles, so if it is a vehicle to get a whole new crop of fans: Great...

And we snuck in some Smirnoff, so that made it good too...

My wife and I saw it last weekend. We enjoyed it. Visually, it was one of the best movies I've ever seen -- Wonderful imagery. It was a bit too long though, it could've been cut down by a half hour or so. Some of the song reditions were wonderful (Such as Let It Be, I Want To Hold Your Hand, It Won't Be Long, Strawberry Fields, I Want You, Happiness Is A Warm Gun) but some were completely unnecessary and added nothing to the film really (I Am The Walrus, Mr. Kite, Oh Darling). Pretty enjoyable for the most part, I recommend it for any Beatles fan or 60's enthusiast.

I've really been meaning to go see this if just for Eddie Izzard's role. To be honest from what I've read the plot seems like some boring anti war crap with a love story thrown in and that annoying bono fella. But I guess I need to see it to judge, in which case I'll just wait until the DVD comes out and rent it.

Because the majority of anti war messages in movies bore me and I think they're crap. Simple really.

There's probably a couple out there I like that aren't coming to mind. But for this year I think the musical to watch on big screen will be Sweeney Todd.

I just bought the movie I liked it .The movie
was better than Sgt Pepper. A lot of great songs
in it.

First I'd like to say that I'm not the biggest fan of musicals.
I can very,very rarely get into them...and all I'll say is that this was not that bad at all.
