Revolution On The David Frost Show

Postby jet » Sun Sep 22, 2002 5:02 pm

The same day The Beatles recorded Hey Jude for David Frost, they also recorded thee clip for Revolution. I love the Hey Jude performance, but I love this one even better. Apart from being one of my favourite Beatle tracks, this has got to be one of my favourite Beatle TV appearances. They really do rock on this one!

Yes--thats a good one, jet. I have that one in color as well. Was it shown in B & W on the DF show?

Good question Stevew. I'm not really sure. However, on the Anthology George can be seen asking David Frost if they were in colour and was told they were being shown in black and white so I assume that's how it was originally transmitted. I'm glad they were being filmed in colour though. Those clips are too good to be in black and white only.

Yeah Jet!!! Good recall!! George really asked about to Frost before "Hey Jude" and Frost did reply that was in b&w indeed.

Peace.

No, I dont think so, NITO...I saw it in color originally at the time it aired here in the US. They didnt even have that process in 1968.

I think that frost probably broadcasted that show in B & W-It appears to have been FILMED in color, though. Not sure. I only know that I saw it in color back in 1968 on "The Smothers Brothers"
